2017 | Iron Blade is an action-packed, medieval slice-em-up mobile game made by Gameloft Cluj, Romania. I worked on this project as a Lead 3D Artist for half of the project. My work was mainly focused on technical stuff, simulations, visual effect and optimizations. Notre Dame is one environment I worked on, mainly on visual polish, atmospherics, terrain and effects.

2013 | Post-apocalyptic weapon inspired from Metro 2033 video game. It was my first asset created with the spec/gloss technique using PBR shading. I used 3dsmax for modeling, Photoshop and Quixel DDO/NDO for texturing and I baked my maps with xNormal.

2007 | Short VFX shot inspired from Spiderman 3 movie. To create it, I used ParticleFlow, 5 million sand particles and 18 compositing passes in AfterEffects and took a week of rendering on my old machine.

2006 | Short animation I created together with Sergiu Borz for an international contest called Infomatrix. We worked on it for about 6 months, using 3dsMax, Photoshop, Aftereffects and some 3dsMax plug-ins. And we were happy to get the second prize for it !

2009 | Small sunset scene I created using 3dsmax and DreamScape. DreamScape is a sophisticated set of plug-ins for 3dsmax, that allows you to create and render realistic landscapes, seascapes, skies, clouds, outdoor lighting and more. I wrote a tutorial for this project for Cgtuts+.

2010 | While playing with some liquid simulations in 3dsmax, I got the idea to create an abstract king scene made out of paint. The actual scene didn’t end up being simulated, but I used some simple tricks to achieve the result. Click here to visit the tutorial on CGTuts+.

2011 | CellAid, a phone for elder people, designed by Daniel Bere, a graphic designer for Romania, while we were in college. I modeled it in 3dsmax and used Cebas finalRender for rendering.
